Collecting the right information using Answer Types

Learn how to use the different answer types to provide validation on your clients input

In any automation you want to make sure the information you collect is in the right format so it is useful later in the flow.

With Answer Types you decide how your client should be able to answer the question.

Answer Type Options

Multiple Choice
This provides a check-box field the client can click to proceed to the next question. No input is required from the user.

Free text
This provides a text-field for your client to enter their answer.

Email
This provides a text-field for your client to enter their email. The email is validated to make sure it is in a correct email format, they are not able to proceed without entering a valid email.

No spaces
Similar to free text, this provides a text-field for your client to enter their answer. The field doesn't allow them to enter any spaces.

All capitals
Similar to free text, this provides a text-field for your client to enter their answer. The field doesn't allow them to enter any spaces.

Number
Similar to free text, this provides a text-field for your client to enter their answer. The field only allows them to enter numbers, the number is then automatically formatted with a comma.

Percentage
Similar to number, this provides a number only text-field for your client to enter their answer. The field only allows them to enter numbers between 0-100. 

Currency
Similar to number, this provides a number only text-field for your client to enter their answer.

Date
This provides a field that when clicked opens a date picker for your client to choose the correct date. On the editor you are able to select the format that you would like the date to be available for your flow.

Address
This provides an address search and option for manual entry if the address is not found. On the editor you are able to choose which countries the client will be able to search for an address in. 

Phone
This provides a phone field where the country of origin can be selected. It also restricts input to numbers.
